We currently calling for Expressions of Interest for projects under our Protecting Our Future initiative (detailed below). This $550,000 round closes on 6th August, 2007.
In addition to $250,000 from our Regional Investment Strategy, we have successfully sourced $300,000 from the Australian Government's National Landcare Program Community Support for our land-management community. All our investments are in line with our Protecting our Future initiative which concentrates on dealing with land management ssues identified by our community. Further funding opportunities will be posted here as they become available. |

Protecting our Future is an integrated initiative delivering benefits for social, economic and ecological sustainability in the region. Under Protecting our Future, we seek projects that give lasting benefits to our five regional asset groups: land, water, biodiversity, community and Indigenous land management. These can involve on-ground works like weed control and fencing sensitive habitat; training such as property management planning; and awareness raising like information and signage.
