MORNING SMOKO IN THE AFTERNOON – FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Desert Channels Queensland (DCQ) is throwing its weight behind the fund-raising efforts of the Cancer Council by inviting everyone to morning smoko in the afternoon.
Renowned for its generous smokos and a billy always on the boil, DCQ is supporting David Thompson in hosting an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea (in the afternoon) on Friday 28th May at 3:30.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is one of the Cancer Council’s leading fundraising events and the largest, most successful event of its kind in Australia. Over $70 million has been raised since it first began in 1994. Last year, more than one million people stirred themselves into action at morning teas across Australia, raising over $10.6 million. This year the aim is to raise $12 million.
The Biggest Morning Tea costs $5 to attend which covers food, tea and coffee. BYO alcoholic drinks. The Biggest Morning Tea is being held at the back of DCQ, 92 Galah St Longreach.  There will be games to play and other treats so ‘tea up’ with your friends, workmates and family and join in the fun. For more information and to reserve your cuppa, RSVP to DCQ on 4658 0600.
