Our Future’s Looking Good in their Hands

So often we are told that to plan for a better future it is best to start with the children. They are the leaders of tomorrow.  They are our future.

Ted Burling, Desert Channels Group’s Landcare Facilitator, is helping to ensure that our part of the region is planning for the future.  In preparation for a brand new year with unlimited possibilities, he has been visiting schools in the region, talking with students and staff about Junior Landcare, what landcare means to them, and what it means for the future.

“The interest from the children and staff is encouraging,” said Ted after his recent visit to Isisford State School.  “We already have three Junior Landcare groups in the region; if we can get another three going, 2012 will be an exciting year for Landcare in the west.”
