Our Partnerships

To maximise what we can achieve for the community, economy and environment of our region, we actively seek partnerships with organisations that can add value to our efforts.
Like many other regional bodies, particularly those covering the Rangelands, Desert Channels Queensland has very limited resources, small population and huge area.  By joining forces with others we can achieve more than we could on our own.  Issues that impact negatively on our natural resources do not respect the artificial boundaries (shire, regional body and state borders) that have been drawn on maps.  Our partnership initiatives can more effectively match resources and efforts to the geographic extent of these issue.

Our closest partners in all our work are, or course, our implementation groups: Georgina Diamantina Catchment Committee; Cooper's Creek Catchment Committee; and Desert Uplands Build-up and Development Strategy Committee.
