A Barcaldine girl born and bred, Ronell (aka Nellie) came to Longreach over 3 years ago to work as an Indigenous Ranger for the Diamantina and Cooper Creek catchments which meant working in both Bladensburg National Park and within the Longreach district. Nellie has a passion for Indigenous culture as well as a keen interest in photography and tourism. She loves being a mum to her four children, spending time in the bush, travelling around the region and getting her hands dirty as she expresses stories through her paintings. Nellie joins us as the Project Officer for the Traditional Ecological Knowledge Project.
